The National Aquatics Center in Beijing launched a series of events on Feb. 4 to celebrate the anniversary of the opening of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The National Aquatics Center in Beijing launched a series of events on Feb. 4 to celebrate the anniversary of the opening of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Various activities were organized for the venue's Olympic operation team, Beijing 2022 working staff and tourists.
The activities, including free ice-skating and curling experience programs, free swimming pool access, and a Lantern Festival-themed local fair, aim to honor the contribution of all staff members of Beijing 2022 and further promote winter sports among the public.

The venue also launched an Olympic badge exhibition, enabling the public to relive memories of both the Summer and Winter Games held in Beijing.
"The National Aquatics Center not only presented the world's top-notch curling experience during Beijing 2022, but it also offered China's solution to a convertible and sustainable dual-Olympic venue," said Yang Qiyong, general manager of the center. Yang stressed that the venue would continue hosting both aquatic and ice sports in the post-Beijing 2022 era and deliver tangible benefits to the community.

In addition, the venue has introduced unlimited ice-skating services to all customers and training course participants, offered discounts on sports programs, and launched Beijing 2022 anniversary-themed winter camps for teenagers, in a bid to get more people involved in winter sports and share the Olympic legacy.
