Route 3: Presenting an everchanging look under “water-ice dual drive” operation mode
Beijing National Aquatics Center (“Water Cube”/“Ice Cube”) is a landmark building in “City of Dual Olympics”. Route 5: An icon for the revival of the old downtown Beijing and a new landmark for urban renewal
Longfu Temple has a history of nearly 600 years, which witnessed the largest temple fair in Beijing. Nowadays, Longfu Temple Zone is one of the most bustling business districts in Beijing. BSAM, the CPC Dongcheng District Committee and Dongcheng District People’s Government jointly devote to feature protection and urban renewal of Longfu Temple Zone. Formerly known as “Jixiang Garden”, the history of Jixiang Theater dates back to 1906. It is a century-old theater with high reputation in Beijing. Since its re-opening in July 2021, Jixiang Theater has insisted on its positioning of “small size, refined approach, elegant style and aesthetic savor” by continuously spreading the excellent traditional Chinese culture, meeting the diversified cultural consumption needs of citizens, and contributing to Beijing’s construction of a national cultural center.
As Jixiang Theater is a century-old theater and a cultural landmark in Wangfujing Zone, in order to fully demonstrate the characteristics of “new look of old theater”, Jixiang Theater takes traditional Chinese opera performances as the core, supplemented by theatrical performances with traditional cultural characteristics.
